SAIL Launches Louisiana Cleantech Fund

Irvine-based venture capital firm SAIL Capital Partners said this week that it has launched a new, venture capital fund focused on investing in clean technology in Louisiana. The firm said the new fund -- The Louisiana Sustainability Fund (LSF) will invest in later stage growth companies with proven technologies, either currently in Louisiana or positioned to locate in Louisiana, that are making significant contributions to sustainable economic growth. Walter Schindler, Managing Partner of SAIL Capital Partners, is a New Orleans native. The new fund's General Partners includes Whole Foods board chairman John Elstrott.
