Smith Micro Taps Morpheus For Photo Animation

Aliso Viejo-based Smith Micro Software said this morning that it has signed an exclusive publishing agreement with Santa Barbara-based Morpheus Software, publisher of a digital photo animation software. Morpheus Photo Animation Suite allows users to take photos and morph, distort, blend, and animate those photos. Smith Micro said that it will offer the software directly and through retailers, catalogs, and distribution partners worldwide. Terms of the publishing agreement were not disclosed. Morpheus Software is headed by Dan Engel, who was part of the team that helped sell Picasa to Google.
