SoCal Firms Make Inc 500

Business magazine Inc. has released its annual Inc. 500/5000 list, highlighting a number of Southern California, technology related firms in its listing. Among the many local companies listed, ranked by their 3 year growth rates, were Carlsbad-based MaxLinear, ranked at 17 with 8,784 percent growth and annual revenues of $51.4M; Santa Barbara-based FastSpring, at 41 (5,319 percent growth, $11.7M); Irvine's Future Ads, at 56 (3,943 percent growth, $50.5M); Solana Beach-based Service-now.com at 69 (3,441 percent, $27.8M); Thousand Oaks-based Xirrus at 75 (3,213 percent, $26.6M), and Agoura Hills-based National Positions, at 112 (2,246 percent growth, $6.9M). Other interesting firms on the list included Pasadena-based Central Desktop at number 180 (1,569%, $2.6M in revenues), TrueCar at number 209 (1,407%, $16.6M), RealD at 347 (843%, $149.8M), and San Diego's Covario, at number 420 with 704 percent growth and $15.3M in revenues.
