Socialcast Enhances Social Networking Software

Irvine-based Socialcast, a developer of software for creating corporate social networks, said this week that the firm has upgraded its software-as-a-service platform. Socialcast said it has added new bookmarking tools, user profile features, work logging features, and way to help employees connect with other employees with common interests. Socialcast develops software for creating customized social networking sites for companies; the company said its products are being used by companies such as Hot Topic and Guitar Center.
