Sony Online Entertainment Buys Game Studio

San Diego-based Sony Online Entertainment announced Monday that it has acquired PoxNora, an online collectible strategy game, and other assets, from Octopi LLC. Octopi is based in Tucson, Arizona. Sony said that the members of Octopi's development team will become a new Tucson-based studio for the company, and will work on new trading card and strategy game projects. Financial terms of the deal, which closed Friday, were not announced.
