SpaceX Docks With ISS

In a resounding success for Southern California spaceflight firm SpaceX, the firm's Dragon capsule successfully docked and was bolted to the International Space Station at 12:02 p.m. EDT this morning, according to NASA. SpaceX, the brainchild of technology mogul Elon Musk, was able to launch its module into space using its Falcon 9 rocket, delivering food and clothing to the International Space Station in a historic mission. SpaceX is now well on its way towards it goal of delivering both cargo and astronauts on a regular basis to space for NASA. The startup, which is based in Hawthorne, has been in the midst of its latest mission all week. NASA has been supporting SpaceX's efforts to develop a commercial spaceflight service, as it looks to replace the now-retired Space Shuttle fleet and reduce its costs.
