SpaceX Signs Argentina's Space Agency

Hawthorne-based SpaceX, the commercial spaceflight venture run by Elon Musk, said Thursday that the firm has signed an agreement with Argentina's National Commission on Space Activity for two satellite launches. According to SpaceX, the deal will send two Earth observation satellites into orbit on SpaceX's Falcon 9. Financial impact of the wins was not disclosed. SpaceX said that the satellites will be used for natural resources monitoring, as well as emergency and disaster management. SpaceX is venture backed by the Founders Fund, as well as the personal fortune of Musk, who was co-founder of PayPal.
