Staccato Signs Japanese Distributor

San Diego-based wireless semiconductor manufacturer Staccato Communications has signed on a Japanese distributor for the firm's products. Staccato hahs signed up Hakuto, as Japanese distributor of its Ripcord CMOS ultrawideband chips. Staccato said that Hakuto will represent the firm throughout Japan. Staccato is a developer of ultrawideband (UWB) wireless chips used for wireless networking. The firm is venture backed by Intel, Allegis Capital, Bay Partners, Charles River, and Interwest.
