Teledyne Acquires PDM Neptec, Completes LeCroy Buy

Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies, the diversified electronics, instrumentation, and aerospace products firm, said Friday that it has acquired PDM Neptec, a provider of underwater cables, fiber optic and electrical subsea connectors. Separately, the firm said this morning that it has completed its acquisition of scientific instruments firm LeCroy. In the PDM Neptec buy, Teledyne said that UK-based Neptec becomes Teledyne Impuse-PDM Ltd. No financials of that deal were announced. IN the LeCroy deal, Teledyne said it paid approximately $291M for LeCroy, a New York-based supplier of oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers. LeCroy had sales of approximately $178.1M as of its fiscal year ended July 2, 2011. The company had approximately 500 employees, who become part of Teledyne's Instrumentation segment.
