Teledyne Buys Canadian Firm

Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies announced this morning that it is acquiring Waterloo, Ontario-based DALSA Corporation, a developer of digital imaging and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). Teledyne said it would pay approximately CAD $341M for DALSA in cash. DALSA has approximately 1,000 employees worldwide, and develops high-resolution, high-performance CCD and CMOS imaging sensors, electronic digital cameras and image processing software. Teledyne said DALSA had sales of CAD $201 million for the twelve months ended September 30, 2010.
