Teledyne Wins Microsatellite Deal

Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies announced late Friday morning that it has scored a big win in its Teledyne Defence business unit, to help deploy a giant network of small satellites. According to Teledyne, Shipley, which is part of its Teledyne Microsave Solutions group, has been awarded a major supply contract from OneWeb Satellites, to support an effort to launch 900 small satellites. That satellite constellation is being aimed at providing broadband, Internet access across the globe. Financial details of the win were not announced.
