Tinder Launches Swipe Ventures, Eyes M&A, Investments

Los Angeles-based Tinder, the online dating app developer which had been led by Sean Rad, has spun out a new, mergers & acquisition arm called Swipe Ventures, which the company said will seek to expand Tinder's footprint through acquisition and development of new businesses and investments in new and existing businesses within the dating and social space. Swipe Ventures will be led by Sean Rad, who will become Chairman of both Tinder and Swipe Ventures. Tinder's current Chairman, Gregg Blatt, will become CEO of Tinder, in addition to serving as Chairman and CEO of Tinder's parent company, Match Group.
