UCI Names Computer Science School

UC Irvine announced yesterday that it has named the UCI School of Information and Computer Science for philanthropist Donald Bren, chairman of the Irvine Co. The new school will be named the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. Bren made a $20M gift to the school in December, which is being used to create 10 endowed chairs for the computer science school. Bren is a longtime contributor to the school.
