Universal Electronics Wins Deal With Comcast

Santa Ana-based UEI reported a win this morning with Comcast, saying that it will supply voice remote controls for Comcast's XFINITY services. Financial details of the agreement were not announced. Universal Electronics said it has already been a supplier of remote controls, remote control technology, and other services to Comcast. The new remote controls apparently include voice commands to change channels and search for shows, over-the-air firmware updates, and other features for Comcast's set-top boxes.
