VMIX Inks Promotion Deal With DIRECTV

El Segundo-based satellite TV provider DIRECTV and San Diego-based VMIX, an online video sharing web site, said today that VMIX will promote the DIRECTV show The Fizz through a new dedicated online channel. The new channel, which will be featured on the VMIX web site, will feature user-generated content which will both be available on the web site as well as used on DIRECTV's show. The Fizz uses clips from video bloggers, user-generated clips and music as a source for material for the show. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
