Verimatrix Bolsters Series C Funding

San Diego-based Verimatrix said Monday that the firm has added SunAmerica Ventures to the firm's Series C funding round. According to Verimatrix, SunAmerica Ventures, which is part of the American Interantaionl Group (AIG) has joined its Series C investors. Amount of the additional capital in the round was not disclosed. Verimatrix said it will use the new funding to accllerate the deployment of its products into the digital video market. Verimatrix develops digital rights management software and watermarking technology for the IPTV market. The firm had announced the first close of its Series C funding in July. Investors in the earlier close included Goldman Sachs, Crescendo Ventures, Cipio Partners, and Mission Ventures. Verimatrix was advised by Revolution Partners in the funding. More information »
