Verve Mobile Lands $14M From Qualcomm, Others

Verve Mobile, a developer of location-based, mobile advertising services, said today that it has raised $14M in a Series C funding. The firm--which has an office in Carlsbad, but is based in New York--said that Qualcomm and Nokia are new investors in the company. Qualcomm invested in Verve Mobile through its Qualcomm Ventures venture investment group. The round also included BlueRun Ventures. Verve said the funding will go towards developing and expanding its mobile location-base advertising and publishing products. Quinn Li of Qualcomm Ventures joins Verve's board as an observer, with John Garnder of Nokia Growth Partners also joining the board. More information »
