Vitesse Upgrades Enclosure Management IC

Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor has enhanced its low-cost embedded enclosure management IC, the VSC410. The company said that its enhanced enclosure management device can be used for monitoring hard drives, power, fans, intrusion, and temperature of hardware devices. The new controller includes a software development kit. The IC is used by manufacturers of servers and embedded systems, who incorporate the technology into their systems to provide information about status of hardware.
