Vivendi Universal Buys Game Developer

Los Angeles-based Vivendi Universal Games has acquired another game development firm, this time acquiring Carlsbad-based High Moon Studios. High Moon is the developer of Darkwatch, a first person shooter, and is also developing other titles. Terms were not disclosed. Vivendi Universal said that it will retain all of High Moon's employees, which number more than 100 people in Carlsbad. Vivendi Universal is a publisher and distributor of games for both gaming consoles as well as PC platforms. More information »
