Xamlon Targets Flash Developers

La Jolla-based Xamlon announced a new tool yesterday that allows Microsoft C# and Visual Basic .NET developers to easily create applications which run in the popular Macromedia Flash format. The new Xamlon Pro Flash Edition software allows developers to develop their applications using Microsoft's XAML XML-based markup language, and other .NET-based development environments, and export Flash SWF. The new tool also allows for importing of existing Flash applications into the development environment. The company said that a preview version of the tool will be available for download April 6th, and that the full version would be available in May. Xamlon has been developing tools which allow developers to write XAML-based applications for existing Microsoft operating systems. XAML is an emerging Microsoft technology which has not yet been incorporated into all existing Microsoft platforms.
