YouMail Adds Human Transcription

Irvine-based YouMail said Thursday that it has expanded its voicemail services, to include a new human voicemail transcription option. According to YouMail, the new service will provide human or automatically transcribed voicemail, delivered via SMS or email. YouMail--which is venture backed by Vantage Point Venture Partners and the Tech Coast Angels--operates an enhanced voice mail service for mobile phones, with features such as customized greetings depending on caller and email delivery of messages. YouMail said the new transcription service will be available on a per-month basis, ranging from $3.99 for up to 50 SMS transcriptions a month, to $17.99 a month for unlimited email transcriptions. YouMail will also continue to offer a free, automated transcription service. YouMail had launched its automated transcription service in beta in April of the year.
