    Alignent Goes Offshore

Carlsbad-based enterprise planning software firm Alignent said this week that it is opening two offshore development centers. The company said that it is establishing two offshore research and development centers, one each in India and the Philippines. The company said that the new centers will accelerate its time to market for its software and scale up its production capability. Alignent said that opening the two centers will help the company meet increasing product demand while remaining financially viable and competitive. Alignent develops enterprise product planning solutions targeted at the aerospace, government and defense, and high tech manufacturing industry.
