    Active Network Buys Golf Course Software Maker


    San Diego-based The Active Network said that it has acquired a maker of tee time reservation and golf course management software. Active said that it has acquired Tee Time King, a New Jersey software provider. Terms were not disclosed. Active said that the acquisition will enable it to bring new opportunities to golf course operators, golf tournament and event directors, and golfers. Active Network operates a network of online web sites focused on team sports and community events. Tee Time provides software to over 350 golf courses for point of sale, invetory, online reservations, and billing.
