Activision Sued By Jason West, Vince Zampella

Jason West and Vince Zampella, the deposed heads of Activision's Infinity Ward studio, have filed a lawsuit against Activision, according to law firm O'Melveny & Myers LLP. According to the law firm, the suit includes claims for breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, wrong termination in violation of public policy, and declaratory relief. West and Zampella are behind Call of Duty and Modern Warfare, two of Activision's most popular games. O'Melveny claims that Activision terminated West and Zampella's employment weeks before they were due to be paid "substantial" royalty payments for their work on Modern Warfare 2. Activision said this week it had fired West and Zampella for "insubordination" and "breach of fiduciary duty."
