Santa Ana-based Advanced Medical Optics is buying Irvine-based Intralase in a $808M cash deal, the firms said Monday. Both firms provide opthalmic surgical and eye care products. The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2007. Both firms make laser vision correction products. AMO is funding the acquisition with a $900M acquisition facility from a number of banks.
