AI Art Can't Be Copyrighted, Says US

Art that is created by artificial intelligence software cannot be copyrighted, according to the U.S. Copyright Office. The ruling came in the case of an art piece created by an AI algorithm called the "Creativity Machine". The ruling said that courts have "been consistent in finding that non-human expression is ineligible for copyright protection."
