Allylix Rounds Up $3M More

San Diego-based Allylix, which is developing chemical products for the flavor and fragrance industry, said yesterday that it has closed out its Series C funding round at $9M. The firm had closed an initial $6M in its Series C round February. According to Allylix, the new funding came from Middleland Capital, and also included prior investors Blue Grass Angels, Life Science Angels, Tech Coast Angels, Pasadena Angels and Tate & Lyle Ventures. Allylix is developing terpenes, which are used by the food and fragrance industry. The firm said the funding will go towards commercializing its initial three products, and also to advance other products in its pipeline. More information »
