    AltaSens Gets Design Win

Thousand Oaks-based AltaSens has scored a design win for the company's CMOS imaging chip, in two new machine vision cameras from JAI. JAI and AltaSens said this week that both cameras are utilizing AltaSense 2.5 megapixel, HD-format CMOS imaging System-on-a-chip (SoC) sensors. The cameras are being used by JAI for its industrial-grade cameras for machine vision. AltaSens is a developer of high performance CMOS imaging sensors, which are used in broadcast, camcorder, videoconferencing, surveillance, and other video applications.
