Amgen Names Operations VP

Thousand Oaks-based Amgen said Friday that it has named Esteban Santos as its new Executive Vice President, Operations. Santos has been at Amgen since 2007, and has been serving as Senior Vice President, Manufacturing, since 2013. The company said that Santos will head up Amgen's Operations organization, which is responsible for manufacturing, process development, quality, engineering and global supply chain. Santos replaces Madhavan (Madhu) Balachandran, who is retiring at the end of the year.
