    Amira Pharmaceuticals Raises $25M


    San Diego-based Amira Pharmaceuticals has raised $25M in a Series B financing, the firm said today. The investment was led by Novo A/S, and also included Avalon Ventures, Prospect Venture Partners, and Versant Ventures. The round brings the company's total venture capital to $40M. Amira is focused on development of biopharmaceuticals to treat inflammatory disease.
