AMO Hires New VP
Santa Ana-based Advanced Medical Optics said this morning that it has appointed Richard J. DeRisio as VP of Global Regulatory Affairs. DeRisio will head up the firm's development and execution of worldwide regulatory strategies, the firm said. DeRisio joins AMO from Kinetic Concepts Incorporated, where he was also VP Global Regulatory Affairs; he has also served at STERIS Corporation, Computer Motion, Johnson & Johnson Biosense Webster, Sorin Biomedical, and Ventritex Incorporated. AMO is a manufacturer of surgical devices and eye care products for the opthalmic area.
