Amp'd Inks Deal with CBS and UPN

Los Angeles-based MVNO Amp'd Mobile has inked a new deal with CBS and UPN to provide content from CBS and UPN programs on its wireless phone service. Amp'd said yesterday that CBS and UPN have agreed to provide multimedia entertainment content to Amp'd for its broadband wireless phone products, including footage from CSI, NUMB3RS, The King of Queens, and the Late Show with David Letterman. UPN series include Everybody Hates Chris and Girlfriends. Amp'd said that the content will be available at its official launch of its service later this month. Amp'd is developing a wireless phone service focused on the youth audience, and has been tying together multimedia content, community features, and other elements for a 3G-based entertainment focused wireless carrier.
