    Amp'd Ties Into MotoGP

Los Angeles-based Amp'd Mobile has signed on as the official U.S. Wireless Service Provider for the upcoming MotoGP Racing Series. Amp'd, which is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) targeted at the youth market, said that it would broadcast MotoGP's popular Grand Prix motorcycle racing events to handsets of its members. The company will create a "MotoGP channel" to deliver near-live broadcasts of MotoGP events, as well as interviews and other content related to MotoGP. Financial terms were not disclosed. Amp'd is hoping that trendy, youth-oriented content will drive subscribers to its cell phone content and services.
