AmpliPhi Biosciences Names SVP, COO

San Diego-based AmpliPhi Biosciences Corp, a developer of antibacterial therapies to treat drug-resistant infections, announced this morning that it has appointed Igor P. Bilinsky as its Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Bilinsky was previously General Manager of Immuno-Oncology and Senior Vice President of Special and Research Operations at Ignyta, and also served at Vical Incorporated and Halozyme Therapeutics, as CEO of Androclus Therapeutics, and also was at The Boston Consulting Group. AmpliPhi says Bilinsky replaces Wendy S. Johnson, who ha dbeen interim COO since September 2014; Johnson continues to serve on the company's board.
