AOL, YellowPages.com In Strategic Agreement
Pasadena-based YellowPages.com and America Online said this morning that the two companies have reached a strategic agreement to feature YellowPages.com properties across the AOL network. AOL will feature advertisers from YellowPages.com, SBC SMARTpages.com, and BellSouth RealPages.com on the AOL Yellow Pages, extending the exposure for those advertisers. The two companies are targeting the local search market, which has been seeing heated competition from both established web players as well as startups. YellowPages.com is a joint venture of SBC Yellow Pages and BellSouth.
