Aperio Raises $10.6M

Vista, California-based Aperio Technologies announced Wednesday that the firm has raised $10.6M in a new financing round. The round was led by Galen Partners and Advanced Technology Ventures. The company, which develops digital pathology systems for the healthcare and life sciences industry, said that the new capital will go towards expanding sales, marketing, and operations. The company will also use the funding for developing new products. The round brings Aperio's total raise to $33M. Aperio's microscopic slide scanners and software is used for managing pathology analysis and digital imaging. More information »
