El Segundo-based Applied Wave Research (www.mwoffice.com) has landed Finisar Corp as a customer of its analog design tools. Applied Wave said that Finisar has agreed to purchase AWR's Analog Office 2004 design suite for developing high-speed optical transceivers for Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel storage area networks, metropolitan area networks, as well as IP and SONET/SDH-based networks. Applied Wave's integrated circuit design system is architected fro analog and radio-frequency (RF) designs.
