    Archos Ships Pocket DVR


    Irvine-based Archos (www.archos.com) announced today a new handheld digital video recorder (DVR) designed for telvision recording. The new ARCHOS Pocket Video Recorder AV400 records up to 400 hours of TV programs or between 40-200 full length movies in MPEG-4 DVD quality format. The new device also supports storing photos, music, and transferring files from a personal computer. The new devices feature either a 20-gigabyte or 100-gigabyte hard disk, TV cradle, and external speaker, recording scheduling integration with a VCR or cable/satellite receiver, and synchronization with the Yahoo TV Guide.
