Arkeia Adds NDMP, Microsoft Support
Carlsbad-bsaed Arkeia announced that it upgraded its Arkeia Network Backup software to include support for NDMP and Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Services. NDMP is a network-based backup protocol implemented by providers such as Network Appliance and Snap Appliance. The Microsoft VSS provides integration into the Microsoft Windows 2003 server platform for data copying and backup. Arkeia's software provides Linux-based enterprise backup.
