    Arkeia Backs Up LDAP Servers

Carlsbad-based Arkeia (www.arkeia.com) has released a new backup plug-in for hot backup of Access Protocol (LDAP) servers. LDAP is used to create centralized network directories of user information, so that multiple systems can use a central database for user authentication. LDAP is being used by enterprises to enable single-sign on capability for diverse systems, ranging from LAN resources to email, to user applications. Arkeia's plug-in allows its customers to back up servers without interrupting LDAP services.
