    AssistMed Buys Software Firm


    Los Angeles-based AssistMed, a systems integrator and developer for the online transcription and electronic health record market, said yesterday that it has acquired Clinication, a provider of software for patient adherence management. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Clinication's software is used for helping patients follow long-term medication and self-care regimens. AssistMed offers a variety of electronic health record, practice management, and other software for the healthcare industry.
