Wireless carrier AT&T said Thursday that it is expecting brisk demand for broadband coverage at LAX over the holidays, and has expanded its mobile coverage at the airport as a result. AT&T--promising faster speeds and increased reliability at LAX--said it had activated "several" new cell sites at LAX, aimed a providing better coverage and capacity in such areas as check-in and security locations and baggage areas. AT&T did not say how many cell sites it is adding at the airport.
