    ATK Buys Mission Research For $230M


    Alliant Technologies announced that it is acquiring Santa Barbara-based Mission Research Corp. Mission, which employes 560 and expected sales of $170M to $180M this year, will be acquired for $230M. The deal is in cash, and is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval. Mission Research develops advanced technology in the national security area, including directed energy; electro-optical and infrared sensors; aircraft sensor integration; high-performance antennas and radomes; advanced signal processing; and specialized composites.
