AudioMicro Signs Up Composer

Los Angeles-based AudioMicro, a startup developing an online library of music for use in audio/visual projects, is announcing this morning that it has signed on "Family Guy" composer Ron Jones. According to the firm, Jones will add his work, over 170 original scores, on the site for licensing. AudioMicro lets video producers and others license soundtracks and audio tracks, similar to the photo "micro stock" market. "Family Guy" compose Ron Jones is behind the television series many melodies and tune parodies. AudioMicro said that the addition of Jones' tracks boosts the firm's track count to over 50,000 clips. The firm is headed by Ryan Born and recently landed funding from venture firm DFJ Frontier.
