Audioo Auction Moves To Flippa

How much for a web site for sharing funny and prank voicemails--which doesn't make any money? So far, not a whole lot. Apparently, Los Angeles-based AudioMicro's auction of Audioo has moved over to Flippa, after the firm ended its auction on eBay. According to AudioMicro CEO Ryan Born, it decided that it was not getting enough interest on eBay, because it received "many more inquiries" on Flippa for the firm's website for sharing funny and prank voicemails.

The current Flippa listing show the Audioo site at $2,500 with 8 bids; the eBay bid history showed the last price was $710, with 17 bids; neither site had yet hit AudioMicro's reserve price on the voicemail site. Born said that if the auction does not hit the firm's reserve, it will just hang on to the site. In AudioMicro's auction listing, the firm said it had invested over $250,000 in software engineering in Audioo. Audioo had been created by BetterPPC founder Ben Padnos, who sold it to AudioMicro in May; AudioMicro is selling the Audioo site because it said it is looking to better focus on its core business of operating a marketplace for royalty free music and sound effects. Flippa is an online auction website specifically for websites.
