    Avanoo Takes On Social Wisdom
    Venice, California-based Avanoo announced Wednesday that the company has launched a new site focused on community wisdom. The angel funded site said that it will allow anyone to ask or answer questions on the site. The social question and answer site, which was co-founded by Dan Jacobs and Wilford Sage, said that it recently received an angel investment round of financing. Avanoo competes against such companies as Los Angeles-based SodaHead, Seattle-based MegaBuzz, Los Angeles-based BuzzDash, Israeli startup Yedda, along with web giant Yahoo and its Yahoo Answers web site, and Los Angeles-based Demand Media's Answerbag social Q&A service.
