    Avexus Upgrades Aviation Maintenance Software, Appoints VP


    San Diego-based Avexus announced that it has upgraded a its Avexus 8.0 maintenance, repair, and overhaul solution for the aviation, aerospace, and defense industry, and appointed a new VP of Technology. The upgraded Avexus solution is based on a Java architecture. The company also appointed George Zdravecky as VP of Technology and Engineering. Zdravecky joins from Manugistics, where he was VP of Product Development for their MRO, ERP and procurement products. Avexus is backed by Sun Microsystems founders Bill Joy and Andy Bechtolsheim, Louis Rossetto and Jane Metcalfe of Wired Magazine, and others.
