    BAE Systems Receives Defense Contracts


    Pomona-based BAE Systems announced yesterday that it has received follow-on contracts totaling $12M for maintaining and upgrading the AN/ALQ-157 Infrared Countermeasure Systems for the U.S. Marine Corp. and Navy. The countermeasure systems, used to protect aircraft from heat-seeking missiles, are producted at the BAE Systems facility in Pomona. The contract will extend into 2006, and according to the company will include rotation of equipment from Marine aicraft currently in combat areas. BAE Systems supports development, delivery, and support for defense and aerospace systems.
