BAE Systems Shuts Down Westlake Offices
Defense contractor BAE Systems said last week that it is eliminating more than 75 positions at its Westlake Village location due to a corporate-wide restructuring. The company, which provides gyroscopes and other aviation instrumentation, said that it is laying off 192 people during the first of next year in its plants in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Westlake Village. The layoffs are a result of a drop in demand for the company's aircraft and missle guidance products.
