    Bakbone Appoints CEO
    San Diego-based BakBone Software announced that it has appointed James R. Johnson as President and CEO. Johnson will also join the company's board. Johnson was most recently president and CTO of SoftBrands Hospitality Group, a software company in the hospitality industry. Johnson also has served at Sterling Commerce. The company also said that Keith Rickard, the company's prior CEO, president, and board of directors, has resigned immediately. Bakbone develops data backup and recovery software.
